We have an immediate need for a Database Modeler

JOB DESCRIPTION
US - FL - ORLANDO -3D VISUAL DATABASE MODELER
Contract (6 TO 9 MONTHS)

American business that produces simulation and training systems for commercial, defense and export markets. Company offers a comprehensive range of speech recognition enabled simulation systems for governments, universities and civilian air traffic control agencies worldwide, and produces speech recognition applications for operational command and control systems such as the F35 Joint Strike Fighter.
Responsibilities:
-
Design and build 3D visual databases for aerodrome and driving simulators;
-
Build 3D aircraft and ground vehicle models (civil and military);
-
Enhance existing airport databases and extensive model library;
-
Photo texturing;
-
Coordinate modeling activities with modeling group of other divisions;
-
Develop modeling standards and practices for Driver Simulator;
-
Identify and assist in addressing modeling issues;
Requirements:
-
5+ years hands-on experience in modeling, preferably in simulation, with a leaning towards the technical;
-
Associate Degree in related field (B.Sc. in computer science, engineering a plus);
-
Ability to read and understand AutoCAD, airport layout drawings;
-
Good eye for color, proportions, and an artistic flair;
-
Knowledge of MultiGen Creator or AutoDesk 3DS MAX or similar, is a plus;
-
Knowledge of OpenFlight;
-
Knowledge of skeletal animation is a plus;
-
Knowledge and work experience with Adobe Photoshop mandatory;
-
Understanding of architectural and civil plans;
-
Knowledge of GIS data;
-
Good written and verbal communications skills;
-
Office computer skills (Word, Power Point, Excel); Working knowledge of Windows/Unix;
-
Familiarity of Image Generators (IG) (asset);
-
Interest in aviation (asset);
-
Motivation, initiative, innovation and creativity are definite assets.
