We have an immediate need for a Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs and leads mechanical design, analysis, manufacturing and test tasks on spacecraft deployable structure programs.Conceptual and detail design of fight hardware, ground support equipment and manufacturing processes and test procedures.Uses CAD (Primarily Pro Engineer) and computer analysis tools to develop conceptual and detail designs with little supervision as directed by a lead Senior Engineer, Technical Director or Program Manager.Shall develop product knowledge, engineering experience and leadership skills to become functioning TD in 12 months by working with and leading multidicpilinary teams.Performs and or leads stress, dynamics and thermal, kinematic and reliability analyses, and other related tasks. Works with drafting, manufacturing and quality to develop detail drawings, procedures and plans using appropriate computer tools. Works with manufacturing, quality and others on assigned projects to ensure technical goals are met within a timely manner.Must have good written and verbal communication skills.Must have good computer skills for design, analysis and communication tasks.Good hands-on mechanical assembly and test skills desirable.ntellectual horsepower, ability to solve challenging problems, technical & organizational learning aptitude.Strong interpersonal, team participation and customer service skills.
