Description
A Design Engineer is needed to for a local company that installs Fire Alarm Systems. Will be supporting the Design Engineer with the following duties: 1) Surveying projects to determine proper design requirements, verify existing conditions, taking clear and concise field notes, identifying deficient, discussing special needs or requirements with owner/representative/sales executive. May also be required to decipher associated blueprints and/or project specifications.
2) Designing Fire Alarm/Nurse Call/Security Systems for new construction and existing structures, utilizing AutoCad software for project designs, creating system calculations for the fire alarm systems. Using and interpreting current codes with special city/A.H.J. requirements
3) Submitting plans and specifications to Authorities Having Jurisdiction for approval, communicating with these agencies to facilitate approval process.
4) Traveling to sites for site walks, designing both computer, and some manual, plotting, take offs, estimating, submittals to the authority having jurisdiction ,and meeting OSHPD.
Computer skills: Auto Cad release 2000, Word, Excel, Outlook

Looking for a candidate with Design experience in LOW VOLTAGE, ELECTRICAL systems, Nurse Call systems, Access Control system, CCTV systems and FIRE ALARM SAFETY. NICET CERTIFIED a Plus!df-tc
