If you are a great Designer with expert knowledge of Web architecture, OOD and Java, read on!

What you will be doing:
* Interact with Sr. Mgt., customers, external/internal IT staff, & Prod Mgt
* Bridge gap between Product Mgt. and Functional level descriptions
* Guide developers regarding best approach for implementation of enhancements
* Map Client requirements and functional specifications
* Guide, Mentor and Coach group of dedicated developers
* Make strategic technology decisions
* Supervise quality of designs & implementation inside & between components
* Compare, contrast and prioritize among alternative approaches
* Document & communicate objectives, reqs, & designs to tech & non-tech types
* Includes authoring Design approach documents, High level designs
* Detailed design docs, & sometimes functional specs.

What you will need:
* BS Computer Science or equivalent related experience.
* Exp architecting, & deploying enterprise-scale systems using agile SDLC processes.
* Exp in a broad range of IT disciplines with specialty in enterprise scale Java apps
* Strong understanding of UML, Rational suite, SOA, MDA
* Exp. w/common app frameworks, & integration techniques w/Legacy systems.
* Strong knowledge of current arch & design patterns, best practices & refactoring.
* Excellent time mgt, project mgt, flexibility skills to work w/geog dispersed team.
* Strong knowledge of SCM, Mat. Mgt, Multi-tier net, Analysis, demand planning.
* Expert knowledge of Web arch, J2EE technologies & open standards capabilities
* Strong exp w/object-oriented OOD software dev methodologies and practices.
* Design large scale systems in PC based, Web based, & hosted service solutions.
* Design complex systems at the component level
* Strong tech background in Java, XML/SOAP, HTML, Oracle, Ajax, SQL, SQL Server
* WebSphere/Logic, Unix, Windows, Sun J2EE certifications (Ent Arch for J2EE a plus)
* Exp in Estimating SW dev efforts (function points or KLOC analysis a plus)
* Comfortably move between varying levels of abstraction, business, product strategy, technical design and implementation
