Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Desk Side Support Specialist to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
The Desk Side Support Specialist will provide technical on-site and phone support for a Healthcare Environment. One must have a good balance between customer service, technical skills, have a positive attitude and willing to mentor other team members.
  • Will assess and solve difficult remote site PC/laptop issues over the phone
  • Provide quick and accurate answers to the user community in regards to system and network related problems/requests
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks..

    Required Skills:
  • 3 + years of experience providing phone and field technical support troubleshooting Hardware and Software including: PC’s, laptops, PDA’s ,Printers, LAN/WAN
  • 1 Year experience using incident tracking software such as: Remedy, Track-IT, HEAT, etc
  • Mental Characteristics: Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write. Body strength sufficient to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations.

    Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft O/S’s (Win NT, Win2000, XP) and Microsoft Office products.
  • Healthcare/IT background
  • Experience with handheld devices (e.g., Blackberry, Palm, Trio)
  • Clinical applications such as Touchworks, Meditech, HBOC and IDX
  • Active Directory experience a plus

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • A+ Certification a plus but not required
  • Membership in the Help Desk Institute a plus
  • Holds or working towards Microsoft Certification preferred

    * This position requires 50-75% travel to on-site Southern California locations
