Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Desk Side Support Specialist to join our team in Boston, MA.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide hands on technical support performing installation, repair and maintenance of PCs and related software/hardware
Troubleshoot and expeditiously resolve hardware and software failures and identify network problems when related to desktop PCs minimizing disruption to the user and core business coordinate with end users and IS team in support of the desktop environment and the users' business needs with heavy emphasis on customer communications.

Required Skills:
  • 4+ years experience in support PC hardware, laptops and related MS Operating Systems (XP/2000) and MS Office applications

  • 4+ years experience supporting PCs in Microsoft domain environment in a mid-size enterprise company

  • Basic knowledge of networking and ability to identify network related problems as they pertain to desktops

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds as part of normal job related duties

  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time


    • Desired Skills:
  • Experience with imaging/ghosting PCs (Symantec Ghost) and antivirus software (McAfee)

  • Understanding of Actice Directory, SMS and WSUS

  • Experience with Dell PC hardware and laptops

  • Excellent organization skills


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Technical school and/or some level of college preferred

  • MCSE/MCP preferred
