Description

CTI is a premier IT consulting company in the Maryland area. Senior Desktop Engineer to support our customers in the Washington DC, Baltimore, Ownings Mills and Ridgley MD areas

Essential Functions
Support users and solve desktop computer problems
Able to assemble, install, upgrade and configure new computing resources, including hardware, software, and applications.
Perform a variety of advanced technical work in the installation, removal, maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair of personal computer equipment and computer software.
Proven experience with Networking protocols TCP/IP and OSI models
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent customer service skills

Qualifications
-
Considerable knowledge of the utilization, operation, and maintenance of PCs
- 2 or more years experience with:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  • PC hardware and peripheral troubleshooting or fault identification.
  • Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Outlook
  • Advanced personal computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Local Area Network troubleshooting skills TCP/IP and OSI models

Education and/or Other Requirements
3-4 years of desktop support including MS Office Suite
Microsoft certification (MCSE) a plus
