Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Long Beach, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Resolves hardware and software problems expeditiously and with minimum disruption to computer/phone system users and coordinates hardware repairs with vendors, when appropriate.
  • Completes desktop related projects as assigned (e.g., office moves, printer installation, Phone and Fax moves and installations, etc).
  • Installs personal computer related hardware and software according to schedule, scope of objectives, and standards.
  • Installs/configures new equipment.
  • Assists users with using desktop software when appropriate.
  • In coordination with LAN Administrators, assists with network software installation and problem troubleshooting.
  • Maintains desktop, terminal, and printer hardware & software documentation.
  • Supports on-call schedule and response to priority incidents as needed.
  • Updates problem/project-tracking records in a timely manner.

    Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of desktop support experience
  • 2+ years of Windows 2000/XP experience
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Ability to walk long distances quickly, standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move 45 pounds on a consistent basis.

    Desired Skills:
  • Task Oriented and require attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in determining work and problem resolution priorities and approaches.
  • Must be a Team Player with outstanding communication skills.
  • Background in healthcare, preferably in a hospital environment or 24/7 environment NEC.
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving, customer oriented, and commitment to quality.
