Description
Robert Half Technology is seeking a strong Desktop Support Technician for a 6 month contract to hire placement at a client in Uptown Charlotte NC. RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshooting desktops, laptops and associated hardware and software Monitor and maintain inventory levels Administration of Active Directory accounts, including password resets and account lockouts Administration of corporate anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware solutions. Troubleshoot Blackberry device issues Available for emergency after-hours support Perform other tasks as directed.REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience with laptop and desktop hardware Experience installing printers and other peripheral equipment Experience supporting remote users Experience supporting common desktop operating systems, including Windows 2000 and XP Experience troubleshooting Blackberry devices Inventory management experience Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills. Must be detail oriented, with the ability and drive to see complex tasks to completion under minimum supervision. Ability to provide effective written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical persons. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times. Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work after hours or on-call as required. Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Must pass a detailed technical interview.
