Description
Do you have 2+ years experience doing so for internal customers, both technical and non-technical? If so, we've got a great opportunity for you! Our client is currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician to support, analyze and resolve hardware and associated software issues escalated from the help desk, which will include performing hardware/software repairs and maintenance on a wide range of PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. There will be heavy end-user interaction, and some user training required, so outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude are essential. This individual will also be responsible for installing, integrating and configuring new computer systems and hardware for users, and for the maintenance of security and camera systems. This is a recently opened position, and must be filled immediately! This is also an excellent opportunity to advance to a network/system administrator position with the company for the individual who excels in this job. Experience/Skills
To be considered, candidates must possess 2+ years of experience in PC/laptop/peripheral support, specifically with Windows XP, Microsoft Office and Outlook. Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory is a plus! Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role. An associate degree in a computer related field of study is required, while a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience are preferred. Experience with the above skills and knowledge of security and camera systems is a plus!
