SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

Description
Senior Developer role. The position is for an experienced application developer who will accept a challenging position on the MBS & REMIC Tax Systems team.
Contribute significant technical expertise toward design and development of MBS & REMIC Tax applications to support Corporate Finance.
Engage with multi functional technical & business teams to translate business need and deliver solution.
Design, develop and deliver applications that meet requirements, are well-documented and high-quality.
Ensure that administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures are followed during the development life-cycle.
Interact with direct management, business teams and support teams to deliver on time and within budget.
Provide application production support as needed.
Required Qualifications

6+ years of experience in software developer role, participating in software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential.
Inquisitive spirit and a drive to deliver high quality solutions for business customers.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, work against aggressive deadlines, changing requirements with proven accuracy.
Must have mastery of Java, J2EE, Weblogic Struts, Hibernate, JSP, JSF, XML, UNIX Shell scripting, and other applicable technologies.
Experience with Configuration Management practices and use of tools such as Rational Clear Case, Remedy, Clear Quest, and Quality Center preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of finance industry, and specifically structured finance.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Experience providing Tier #1 application support desired.

Qualification Rating FNMACompany Default Category 5-7+ years software development experience. 5+ Yrs. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Yes Post-graduate degree desired. Yes Professional certification(s) desired.
