Senior Developer – Microsoft Information Worker

We are adding a Senior Microsoft Information Worker Developer to our team.



This position is part of the award-winning Berbee Microsoft practice. With seven partner competencies and specializations, Berbee is part of an elite group of Microsoft Gold and managed Partners worldwide to achieve such levels of achievement. We’ve built a team of certified consultants who have expertise implementing Microsoft’s solution set for Core Infrastructure, Communications and Collaboration, Security and Information Worker Solutions.



As a part of the Berbee Microsoft team, you are in the middle of the action creating technical solutions, impacting Berbee’s business growth and supporting our sales team. Responsibilities:


The incumbent of this position will:

• Participate in complete software development lifecycle, including analysis. Design, code and unit test, for Information Worker applications based on Microsoft technologies, especially .NET, web services and SQL

• Assist Berbee clients with business requirements for their SharePoint and Office System based solutions. Assist with the Information Architecture (taxonomy) appropriate to each particular client and take the design all the way through the solution Life-Cycle

• Build applications using Internet and Windows Development tools. Manage, develop, integrate and implement related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration

• Develop web pages and applications for customers

• Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems; participate in structured walkthrough and technical reviews

• Prepare functional specifications from which programs will be written; design, code, test, debug, and document programs

• Build relationships with customers to determine business requirements that will drive web site planning

• Prepare design documents and technical papers explaining and motivating the approaches to be taken in the architectures of systems

• Translate business strategies into tech¬nical visions and strategies

• Deliver high-quality solutions to our customers to ensure their investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives.

• Deliver project oversight responsibilities

• Contribute to Berbee intellectual capital such as white papers and presentations on area of expertise

• Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to customers or management

• Contribute to product development, written proposals and develop technical documentation

• Conduct workshops, seminars and public presentations



Qualifications:




• Five to seven years direct experience with Web application development

• Previous consulting experience preferred

• Current Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSD)desired

• Four-year degree in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience

• Solid understanding of the Microsoft IW principles including supporting technologies such as the Office System, Smart Tags, Information Bridge, InfoPath, SharePoint Portal Server, BizTalk, and web services

• Broad aware
