Description
Mastech Inc is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Developer for our client in the Aviation domain. This is a contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12 months
Location: Denver, CO/ Zip Code: 80111
Compensation: $75,000 - 85,000/ Annually

Role: Developer

Role Description: The Developer would need to have at least 7 + years of experience. This Candidate would have (20% front end/ 80% server side) a strong GIS/Geocoding background. The Developer would be working on a data repository that ingests outside geographical data (elevation, longitude, and latitude) from the FAA, NASA, as well as other sources and converts the data into the required data. This data is then utilized as the foundation for all of their products that are sold to the aviation industry.

Responsibilities:

- Provides Java/J2EE development in an iterative RUP environment (plus).
- Participates in estimates of effort and schedules for projects.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement multi-tier enterprise applications using the J2EE (EJB, JMS, JNDI, JDBC, and JSP), Web Services, and XML/XSL.
- Prefer experience with WebLogic Server, Design Tools like RSM or EA, Struts, AJAX, JUnit, Ant, Eclipse, RUP, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
- Experience with Design Patterns and UML.
- Any experience with Application Integration using JMS is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows Operating Systems.
- Must have a background in GIS applications - some examples to look for: Geocoding, ESRI, Arch GIS, and Oracle Spatial.
- Everything outside of strong Java and Geocoding are pluses.
