Description

This position will be responsible for working on a 6-9 month project to support bringing up a new development environment in multiple geographical locations (no travel required).

Primary responsibilities are as follows:


Imaging of new workstations and build systems

Working with IT representatives to update and enhance base image as patches or fixes are found

Managing incoming and outgoing inventory of new systems

Provide Linux OS support to engineering groups (some desk-side support involved)

Provide Clear-Case assistance to engineering groups
Minimum Requirements:



Clear-Case SCM knowledge

Must have functional administration knowledge in Linux OS (Red Hat) and HP-UX (desired)

Ksh scripting/debugging/troubleshooting knowledge

Knowledgeable of MS Office applications

Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills

Able to lift/move equipment

Willing to wear many hats
Desired Qualifications:



2-4 year technical education and/or 2-3 years of related experience

Knowledge of code compilers in Linux

Strong knowledge of IT environments
