Description
Ajilon Consulting, a leader in the placement of Information Technology professionals, is seeking for a 3 month RTH opportunity, an SDV Capacity Planning Engineer for a contract to perm position in Mount Laurel, NJ

Candidates will be required to collect utilization data for various SDV markets, and provide capacity planning analysis and interpretation of the data gathered as well as assist in the deployment phase of SDV. Further responsibilities will include:

Create Weekly/Monthly SDV/VOD utilization reports to present to management and key personnel at the divisions and markets.

Analyze the HFC capacity and provide analysis on reclaimed BW from SDV

Knowledge of the Motorola and Scientific Atlanta SDV/VOD platform

Be able to monitor an analyze the channel line up for SDV

Generate reports from Spectrum (Scientific Atlanta)

Analyze consumer viewing during peak hour

Complete cost analysis for future upgrades or for EOY Budgeting

Communicate analysis and results with markets and Senior Executives

Gather analyze QAM utilization data

Provide analysis for the merger of VOD and SDV on a shared QAM

Work on projects related to the ALOHA protocol

Forecast utilization for on the spot projects

Knowledge of the Everstream, Croy, and Spectrum data collection tools df-tc

Experience/Skills
Candidates should possess 1-3 years of Digital Video related experience and have knowledge of Digital Video technology (HFC plant and Head end.) A Bachelor=E2=80=99s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. Ideal candidates will come from firms such as Motorola, Verizon (FIOS), Scientific Atlanta and/or CISCO or be recent college graduates who interned for any of these firms.
