Description
Leads a team of project managers and senior project managers who will drive the schedules for all projects by creating and maintaining deployment schedules at the key milestone level, understanding the deliverables and the progress toward each milestone, identifying and communicating schedules and issues in getting there, and helping to remove roadblocks. Establishes and achieves financial objectives by understanding program costs/budget, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Lead projects with IT, Product Management, customers and third-party partners. Act as Steering Committee and PMO chairperson; coordinate and deliver weekly project updates to these leadership teams with oversight responsibility for CITS projects. Responsibilities include setting and managing expectations, highlighting and resolving issues, ensuring regular communication, and coordinating internal activities. Establishes system to track and monitor program objectives/goals by analyzing program proposal, collaborating with management.
Coordinate product development roadmap with IT management team to plan and execute IT development projects based on requirements from Product Management.
Hiring, training, mentoring, and motivating the Project Management team.
Drive ongoing process improvements for Informatics.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
Maintain relationships with strategic partners and vendors as necessary.


Required Skills
A Bachelors degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Quality Assurance, Healthcare, Project Management, Program Management
More than ten years experience
Seven or more years of work experience in a technical project management role in a large scale Applications Development environment.
Direct supervisory of technical staff preferred.
Previous roles could include business analysis, requirements analysis, requirements management, program management, project management, product management, software design, software development, or software testing.
4+ years managerial/supervisory skills

IT Certification(s) - list below
Project Management Institutes Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred not required
Masters degree preferred
