As an independent, locally owned consulting firm that has been in business since 1997, we have 3 main areas of expertise: Software Life Cycle Support, Data Warehouse Support, and Infrastructure Support.

Unison Systems has an immediate need for a Director of Design and Improvement. Individual will lead the development and manage a proactive and effective program for IT Service Management Design and Continuous Improvement to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used. This is an excellent Contract to Hire opportunity located in Denver, CO. Some travel required.

Responsibilities include design of the service or process at an executive or management level, development of metrics and KPIs to track overall performance and results of the process or service, identification and management of critical success factors, control and lead continuous improvement, approval or rejection of process deviation requests, reporting of status and progress to peers and executives, facilitation, resolution or escalation of cross-functional issues, accountability for the cost and investment in the process or service design and representation of the process or service to all external groups.

Requires BA/BS in Computer Science, Business administration or related field;5 + years experience leading project teams and providing direction for professional exempt employees; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Good understanding of business operations, Prior leadership or management experience. Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel and train staff. Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Strong tactical planning, organizational, analytical and PC skills required as well.

Additional Skills: ITIL v3 certification, strong process implementation/management skills, experience with implementing a continuous service improvement around Change Mgt, Capacity Mgt, Availability, Incident Mgmt, Problem Mgmt, Monitoring and Configuration Mgmt (both CMDB and server and network config mgmt and automation).
