RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director IT, BRM Legal & Office of the CEO is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with the assigned business unit leaders and executives, including: Office of the CEO, Corporate Legal, Environmental Policy, Corporate Communication, Disney Worldwide Outreach, Corporate Alliances, Earth Star, Synergy, Corporate New Technology, Strategic Planning, Disney Archives and Government Relations. This position will be responsible for understanding the business unit's drivers, processes and challenges; and execute the alignment of business goals and objectives with technology strategy, through effective strategic planning, training and awareness programs, prioritization of technology investments and resources, partnering with key leaders in the businesses, and communication to the business on project updates, system support, collaboration efforts and maintenance status, to produce desired business value-added results.

While leading the BRM team, this position will forge a strategic partnership and act as a ?unified face of IT? to the business leaders and establish a single point of contact to strategize key enterprise programs, collaborating across the other BRM-Directors were overlaps occur, define and implement needed IT systems, programs and processes; providing effective training to ensure that system and tools investments are utilized fully; direct the development of project authorization requests; track within the BRM's assigned fiscal year funding; and be responsible overall for the projects (scope, schedule, budget, delivery and maintenance management). This leader will also promote continuous improvement in the technology acumen of business leaders and business acumen of IT leaders through guidance and education, and deepen an understanding and alignment of IT objectives through staff awareness.

This position will also build and strengthen relationships with strategic partners, demonstrating the ability to communicate program issues effectively to leaders in both IT and the business units and influencing software vendors on improving their suite of products to meet Disney needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in an IT or technical related field
  • 5+ years experience managing executive business relationships from an IT perspective
  • 5-10+ years experience in education and training
  • 3+ years experience in project management of IT initiatives
  • 3+ years experience managing global relationships through collaboration tools and techniques
  • BA/BS

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • JD, MBA, or other advanced degree/ or significant work experience
  • Experience synergizing business unit drivers and processes with technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience working with Disney leaders and executives in IT as well as business unitsdf-tc
