Director of Technology - IT - Cisco - Network Security- Systems Administration - Network Administration - Academic Curriculum Administration

If you are a Director of Technology with Cisco Networking experience in an Academic Environment, please read on!

This role is an information technology management position in one of the nation's premier education facilities located near Houston, Texas. With over 800 users on the network, the director is ultimately responsible for connectivity, overall management, and new innovations in technology offering for the entire campus.
What you need for this position:

- 3 years with hands-on Networking and Systems Administration experience with Windows, Mac OS, Cisco technologies
- 3 years experience in IT management in a Sr. Management or Director level of at least 4 staff members
- Have prior understanding with laptop one-to-one teaching environments, preferable in a K-12 school or a high school
- Excellent Network Security Experience, Hand-held devices, and technology licensing
- Expertise in new technology implementation (hardware and software) specifically in an academic environment
- Have participated in technology planning and direction or curriculum planning in education programs

There is three main components in this role, and they are:

- Information Technology department management (budgets, personnel, purchases, new technology innovations, etc )
- Performing hands-on technical projects as necessary (Network Security, Network connectivity, Systems Administration, Support, or other projects as they arise)
- New technology integration (experience, leadership, vision, participate in general educational direction)
