Description
Seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead a client's Quality Assurance processes. This position directs and develops the QA and Technical Documentation teams, ensuring that systems for testing and documenting software products are in place and are effectively followed. This group tests and evaluates software, vendor-provided hardware, and provides technical documentation for software products.

Responsibilities will include:

Direct the testing and evaluation of software products.
Provide overall QA practice and policy direction for the development teams and QA teams.
Write/review and approve the test plans and test scripts used in software evaluation and testing.
Perform additional tasks required for the QA team to meet its deadlines and assure quality deliverables
Provide feedback to development teams for quality trends, problem areas, etc. and provide suggestions for improvements as requested
Ensure quality and development practices are adhered to by all involved parties and teams.

Direct the efforts of providing documentation for software systems
Provide overall documentation direction for the development and documentation teams.
Perform additional tasks required for the QA team to meet its deadlines and assure quality deliverables

Hire/train/evaluate/terminate staff as necessarydf-tc

Experience/Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Background experience:
5 years testing experience in a QA Department
2 years management experience in a QA Department
A proven knowledge of software quality assurance practices and procedures.
2 years experience working with a formal Quality System.
A demonstrated ability to lead a team and meet goals.
A working knowledge of manufacturing and distribution policies and procedures.
2 years experience using automated QA testing tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience working with cross-functional teams from other areas such as development, sale, marketing, etc.
