POSITION OVERVIEW
Senior IT Management position within Enterprise Applications to lead systems development for company-wide Supply Chain initiatives. Position will develop and support applications for Inventory Control, Demand Planning, Transportation, Supplier Quality, Shipping, Receiving, Pick/Pack, Warehouse Management, etc. Responsible for delivery of new / enhanced applications and mentoring staff on Project Management best practices. Responsible for managing project and departmental annual budgets. Supply Chain Systems Development managers will report directly to this position with an internal development staff of 20+. Critical to this role is the evalutation of potential solutions and recommendation for the next generation, high volume, large scale inventory control and warehouse management system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Define an IT applications strategy and develop an applications development roadmap supporting Supply Chain needs
-Recruit and retain highly skilled staff of application developers, project managers, and managers to ensure realization of the Supply Chain applications roadmap
-Review and enhance the applications development methodology ensuring reliable delivery and high quality solutions
-Manage associate performance by establishing clear objectives, measuring performance against objectives, and regularly providing constructive feedback to improve performance
-Mentor / train associates on best practices in applications development and project management
-Establish and maintain proper customer expectations for applications performance and development delivery
-Groom business process improvement ideas into projects ensuring adequate scope definition, estimating, and staffing
-Regularly conduct project reviews at key intervals in the applications development lifecycle to ensure all deliverable are met with the desired level of quality.
-Monitor industry trends and supply chain application capabilities to influence and refine the Supply Chain Systems vision and applications development roadmap
-Periodically evaluate usage and customer satisfaction with the deployed Supply Chain Applications
-Author Requests For Proposals (RFP) and Statements Of Work (SOW) to selection world-class IT providers of software and development services
