Description
Our Client develops and deploys training programs that enable companies to meet and exceed their revenue goals. They do this by blending real world market knowledge, business drivers, competitive environment, company and product benefits, and sales skills into a unified program designed to meet measurable results that impact a specific business objective. We are looking for a seasoned and successful Sales Director to achieve annual objectives for new training services sales. A previous proven track record of selling high value-add training services to medium to large organizations is required. The SD will sell to both direct customers and develop new Training Channels and initiatives, assess and develop new markets for training services, and create and manage new business opportunities. The ability to recommend training curriculum enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential is required. A SD should possess a broad, high-level knowledge of the telecommunication and consulting industry, along with general knowledge of the training requirements of other industries. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Find, negotiate, and close new training opportunities Consistently exceed targeted sales quota. Work with training team on Course Design Documents and Statements Of Work. Provide accurate sales and activity forecasts to executive management and enter them into SalesForce.com funnel tool. Work closely with Vice President of Training and Senior Instructional Design team Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients. Communicate training design requirements, constraints, functionality, and implementation details verbally and in formal documentation (pre and post-sales). Control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Perform other duties as required by company operations. Skills Required: At least five years of successful experience in Corporate Training Sales Proven success in selling to the C-Level Position. Proven ability to self-generate leads and a demonstrated high closure rate. Can develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Good interpersonal/customer-relations skills and the ability to guide customer/user ideas into realistic training solutions. Has demonstrated ability to manage projects with little supervision and successfully meet deadlines. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff, contractors, senior management, clients, vendors and training partners. Ensures that all communication is proactively maintained at the proper level for the need among all interested parties. Superior organizational abilities as they apply in maintaining multiple accounts with superior customer service and satisfaction as well as successfully accomplishing multiple tasks. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills. Willingness to improve in personal knowledge as it applies to supporting the company’s objectives.
