Director of Business Intelligence
Link Technologies is currently recruiting for a Director of Business Intelligence for a position in Las Vegas, NV. This is an opportunity to work with an award winning company in their field with innovative team members and tremendous growth.
The Director of Business Intelligence must architect & manage the necessary infrastructure to ensure continuous working BI solutions. Technology architecture, technology planning and configuration, system and network administration, capacity planning, growth management, database administration, system and network administration, and access and security administration are essential skills in this area. The Director needs to apply principles of Business Analytics, which includes concepts of performance management, definition and delivery of business metrics, data visualization, and deployment and use of technology solutions such as OLAP, dashboards, scorecards, analytic applications, and data mining. To do this, the Director will need to possess core skills in Data Analysis & Design: information needs analysis, specification of business metrics, and data modeling. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, architectures, and processes is also essential. Also needed is a core understanding of Data Integration, which includes all of the activities necessary to acquire data from sources (source data analysis & source qualification), and to transform and cleanse the data (data profiling, source/target mapping, data cleansing and transformation, and ETL development). Finally, the Director must have strong leadership & management skills, which includes a strong focus on effectively integrating people, processes, and technology to deliver business value. This position requires depth of process knowledge, including development methodology, program management, and project management, as well as organizational and team-building skills.
This position reports directly to the CIO.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Excellent combination of technical and communication skills
5+ years experience in Architecting Data Warehouses
5+ years experience with 1 or more Database Platforms, SQL 2000/2005 preferred
5+ years experience in Database Management or equivalent
