Seeking a Senior Director/Vice President, Digital Strategy to join our young and innovative marketing agency client's team in Atlanta- candidates that possess world-class consulting skills and deep digital marketing and interactive experience to serve as a trusted advisor to our key clients.



As a critical member of the senior team, you will lead the overall design, development and delivery of our clients' digital marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate possesses a rare combination of significant client and agency/consultancy experience in the digital space, has led large digital communication, design and development efforts for premiere brands and possesses an expert understanding of digital technologies and trends (web, mobile, email, other)


We're seeking a candidate who is a natural collaborator with deep experience partnering with multidisciplinary teams, possesses proven organizational skills and who is equally comfortable leading Website implementations, digital consulting engagements or complex interactive media campaigns.


The core responsibilities of this position are to:



  • Lead clients in defining the digital vision, strategy and infrastructure needed to support company objectives

  • Partner with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identify/implement efforts to help achieve client goals

  • Drive the design, development and delivery of digital solutions

  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned team members for all aspects of client deliverables and effectively define scopes of work, project budgets and resource allocation

  • Work collaboratively with other agency team members and identify and manage external creative and technology partners to produce compelling and results-oriented deliverables

  • participate in or lead new business development opportunities

  • Manage, mentor, train and develop junior team members

Desired Qualifications



  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills

  • Proven ability to successfully prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic and fluid environment

  • Relevant business experience in an interactive or integrated agency and/or as a management, business or interactive consultant combined with significant client side digital experience

  • Strong functional expertise in digital marketing with experience in integrated channel marketing and an expert understanding of advanced marketing concepts

  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • A balance of strong analytical and strategic planning skills and creativity

  • A demonstrated ability to produce during times of intense pressure

  • Strong facilitation, team building and relationship management skills with high levels of diplomacy

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment

Experience Desired



  • Eight (8) to ten (10) plus years of significant marketing experience in multiple, complex environments

  • A deep understanding of the principles of digital media and experience with all components/elements in the interactive space, including Website design, e-Commerce, email/CRM, mobile, social media, search, etc.

  • Requires sufficient digital production knowledge to understand, anticipate and estimate the time and effort required for various interactive development tasks for all digital channels and platforms. This includes an ability to identify significant technology requirements and their implications in the earliest stages of discussion.

  • Thorough understanding of online metrics including in-depth experience in Website analysis and knowledge of various Web measurement technologies such as: Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, CoreMetrics and online research vendors such as Dynamic Logic, etc.

  • Knowledge of ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART, Mediaplex/MOJO, etc.

  • Paid search engine marketing experience

  • Understanding of interactive design technologies and processes (business requirements definition, concepting, information architecture, design and development, etc.)

  • General knowledge of infrastructure systems, technologies and vendors

  • Experience with integrating digital marketing efforts with other communication, distribution and service channels

Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • MBA or advanced quantitative degree strongly preferred

Additional Skill Sets & Requirements



  • Highly Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

  • Familiarity with other common digital technologies, software, programs and languages extremely helpful (HTML, Visio/In Design, Photoshop/Illustrator, etc.)

  • Occasional travel required
