Description
As Director Game SW Development, you will be responsible to create and maintain in browser, PC, and Mac client side 2D and 3D game solutions with your development team. Your solutions interface with our portable entertainment and Internet platform. The position reports to executive management. You should be a games enthusiast and be well-versed in MMORPG architectures and especially as they relate to client used by millions of game players. This is a startup environment, where flexibility, a can-do attitude, and team-oriented mentality are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop in browser and PC/Mac 2D and 3D game software
Provide guidance on new tools, approaches, methods and features, leading the team on their evaluation and implementation and use as required
Think strategically and continually look for methods to identify cost effective and more productive approaches
Manage, mentor, and guide a team of software development engineers
Full HR responsibility for direct and indirect reports
Work closely with game design, core and portable entertainment software development teams, test and IT operations
Seek out, develop and manage key relationships with internal and external technology partners and vendors
Deliver in scope, on time, and on budget high quality game software solutions and feature updates
Perform code reviews

QUALIFICATIONS:
MS in Engineering or Computer Science required
8+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience and a record of individual technical achievement programming games
4+ years experience delivering Flash Games and 3D PC/Mac clients to paying customers
4+ years of software development team management
Experienced with the following technologies Flash, AS3, Flex, C++, Objective C, SOAP, REST, Web Services, SWF Wrappers
Experienced with automated build and publishing systems and AS3 debugging.
Advanced computer software skills; quick team oriented learner who can work in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven success working in a creative, fast-paced, milestone-oriented environment.
