Thompson Technologies is seeking an IT Director/CIO for our client in Mobile, AL.

The Director of Information Systems directs and controls the functions involved in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of information technology solutions for all manufacturing facilities. He/she is responsible for providing solutions that support business operations and contributes to business objectives in a manner that promotes the security, integrity and reliability of information systems. This position exercises primary control over information technology solutions and the Information Technology department. The Director of Information Systems works closely with Division and Corporate IT Management when it comes to coordinating, planning and implementing new technology solutions.

Key Duties

. Develop and maintain a three/five-year strategic plan and supporting annual plans. Include the Information Technology department’s short and long range goals and objectives. Ensure the plans are aligned with the Division’s strategic plan and operating objectives.
. Evaluate alternative technology solutions for the division. Provide leadership and direction in the design, development and implementation of these solutions.
. Monitor performance of implemented systems and maintain as required. Provide support and consulting services to the business community and applicable business partners in the application of Information Technology.
. Integrate the activity and plans of the Information Technology Department with that of other functional components or departments in the Division.
. Structure and staff the Information Technology Department through appropriate personnel selection, training and assignment. Through the proper delegation of responsibility and authority, provide a framework for personnel development and growth.
. Responsible for compliance to all IT related Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, including the maintenance and testing of all general computer controls (GCC).

Requirements

. Bachelors degree in computer science or business management, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
. Five to seven years experience on Oracle eBusiness 11i
. Five to seven years progressive experience in a technical setting
. Supervisory experience
. Strong leadership skills
. Project management skills
. Must possess a high level of customer/end-user service in an Information Technology role.
. Must be capable of managing multiple locations
. Manufacturing background
