Director of IT ServicesLocation: Richardson (Dallas), Texas Description:This high energy senior management position reports to our CIO. We are looking for a seasoned I.T. Director that drives communication and action as well as provides thought leadership and contributes to our global strategies. This leader must be comfortable discussing all aspects of running successful operations and is not limited to technology. This individual will be responsible for our Project Office and Project Management, Business Process Management and IT Alignment, and our Service Desk. This position offers significant executive interaction, vendor management, and strong influence extending our global technology and long term strategy. Our star candidate will lead the department that functions as a liaison between IT and other organizations within Fossil. Responsibilities range from business process improvement, project portfolio planning and resolving issues through our service desk. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. This person will also facilitate strategic planning with IT and executive management as well as driving requirements and business justification with line management. Excellent communication skills will enable this applicant to speak effectively before groups of executives, internal customers or team members within the organization. Exceptional writing skills are essential for developing a variety of reports and correspondence, requirement documents, and other communications via intranet, blog, or email. Sound presentation skills are essential when preparing and conducting effective presentations to all levels of employees. This candidate must have proven management and leadership skills. Retail and fashion wholesale industry experience is preferred. Summary of Responsibilities: * Serve as a Fossil IT liaison and spokesperson for our global operations. * Manage our Project Management Office (PMO) that maintains our portfolio of project documentation, including: requirements, project charters, cost benefit analysis as well as our project management methodology * Work in partnership with other organizations and divisions within Fossil to collect and filter opportunities and develop a strategy and project portfolio to grow our business. * Manage projects and technical resources required for successful project completion, including both Fossil IT employees, contractors, and third-parties * Manage our global service desk which responds to problems and requests from all employees. * Fossil is an Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerRequired Skills* Bachelor's degree in Business, Process Management, Computer Sciences, or related field of study * Outstanding interpersonal skills along with verbal and written communication skills * Proven Management and leadership skills * 5 years of project management experience * Working knowledge of SAP preferred * Understand IT systems and how they align with business processes * Negotiation skillsdf-tc
