This IT Director level position will lead the Strategic Planning, Analysis, Management and Implementation of Information systems supporting the business objectives for the North America Division. Key success factors will be defining the strategic direction, resourcing initiatives as needed, and driving the delivery of programs that improve functional capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include defining the IT strategy including systems and processes to improve data accuracy, data transparency, analytic capabilities, and improve the productivity and effectiveness of the North America organizations.
The Director will assist the VP of IT in development and execution of a Global FPD IT strategy, with an immediate focus on simplification and standardization of IT platforms, including systems integration to facilitate efficient operations between manufacturing facilities, Service Centers, and the North America Distribution Center. Other responsibilities include:

Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic roadmap and ensure alignment with overall business and Flowserve IT strategy.
Ensure that IT is used effectively to achieve overall business goals related to revenue growth, profitability, and cost effectiveness.
Establish strong partnerships with business leadership to identify and deliver on strategic initiatives in support of FPD's performance metrics.
Leverage the organization's technical expertise and minimize duplication of effort across the corporation through collaboration with IT Shared Services teams and other divisions.
Implement, coordinate and drive, where appropriate, IT policy, strategy, standards, common approaches, shared services, and sourcing arrangements. Become integrally involved in the deployment of key initiatives (i.e. STAR) and manage the successful implementation.
Become a key proponent and contributor to the Flowserve 5 year Strategic Plan respectively to IT and FPD vision, initiatives, and actions that are required to ensure sustained performance deploying the enabling technologies essential for success.
Research, draft, and prepare annual budgets that support the initiatives that are aligned with the 5 year strategic plan.
Recruit, motivate and develop highly-skilled professionals who can consistently deliver quality results that meet stated business objectives.
This position is responsible for implementing and supporting global initiatives, and will require travel.

Experience/Skills
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution or process industry companies.
Experience in a complex organization with multiple IT platforms and multiple sites/plants is essential, and candidates will have played a significant role in implementing large, scalable, robust systems, including major ERP implementations.
Have executive presence with a proven record of IT leadership, demonstrating the application of IT as a business enabler that measurably improves organizational effectiveness and performance.
The successful candidate will have advanced through a variety of roles and with particular emphasis on leading large, complex manufacturing IT organizations. He/she will have experience developing and implementing high performing organizations.
Someone who combines a "take charge and get it done" type of personality with diplomacy, entrepreneurial savvy, leadership skills and a high commitment to customer satisfaction. A confident, but not ego-driven interpersonal style.
Ability to leverage seasoned leadership capabilities in successfully leading remote teams across a large geographic region or the globe.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of managing global budgets.
Demonstrated effectiveness in a matrix organization is a must.
An individual with extensive enterprise software experience and a knowledge of business process methodologies.
A team player with a strong balance of analytical, intuitive and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong planning and execution capabilities. Someone who is collaborative, yet proactive and self-reliant.
Must have the depth and breadth to function in an environment where you must be able to think strategically yet execute tactically.
A track record of effective vendor management in areas such as IT consulting and outsourcing.
Ideally, the candidate will have international experience and have an appreciation/understanding of the various cultures in Europe, Latin America and/or Asia Pacific.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering or technical field. An MBA is highly desired
