Description
The Director Product Management will assume accountability for all aspects of profit and loss (P&L) for a set of product offerings within the Brand Management and Market Research segment of the Information Services Division. The Director must execute plans to reach plan revenue growth & profitability for the specific product line. This may include development of new customer initiatives, development of enhanced product upgrades, or new marketing campaigns. Additionally, the Director, Product Management will have to work across other product lines to ensure maximum product profitability, revenue opportunities and manage redundancy between products, client contacts, etc. Director, Product Management must manage product/systems to operate within expense/budget guidelines.


Experience/Skills
.Researches, analyzes, and monitors market factors and activity to capitalize on product and brand development opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity. Maintain a database of key market and competitive activity. Develops competitive positioning
.Defines product attributes and functionality for product enhancement based on customer needs and sales/revenue opportunities.
.Develops and secures agreement for brand plans to achieve performance objectives for specific data products and services, including product positioning, delivery, promotion, and pricing strategy to maximize sales and market share.
.Articulates data and physician level product vision, features, benefits & direction to the sales force, customers & key industry leaders through written & verbal communication.
.Development product marketing plan and works closely with marketing and sales team to execute product plans and programs within budget, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
.Monitors competitive products and marketing activities and suggests/implements actions to improve performance in face of competition.
.Establishes/maintains relationships with industry influencers, key community/strategic partners and consultants.
.Follows a consistent corporate image throughout specific product line(s), promotional materials, and events.
.Communicate with other product managers to ensure cross functional support of the plan of action for assigned product line
.2-5 years brand management experience working with claims data products within informatics company, informatics division of a pharmacy benefits manager or pharmaceutical data integrator, analytics or interface developer preferred.
.Marketing experience preferred in related field (i.e. data business of payor or PBM)
.Pharmaceutical or Biotech Brand Management or Market Research experience
.Experience with successful product commercialization and launch
