Director of Web Content Management (110K-115K)Dept.: Corporate Communications OBJECTIVEThis new position will be responsible for managing and developing content for the company's Intranet and select sections of the corporate Web site. Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Communications, the position will focus on working with various departments within the organization to draft, collect, schedule, edit and publish exciting and relevant content. Candidates must have Web related writing experience and an understanding of Web interface and site flow issues. Responsibilities will include developing content and managing the flow of content from departmental writers. RESPONSIBILITIES~ Liaise with different departments and contacts within the company to draft, edit and publish Intranet content (text and images).~ Update information for Store/Events Locator section of Corporate Web site.~ Maintain an editorial calendar of featured content for the site. ~ Act as a hands-on developer of content, as well as a manager of overall content. ~ Assist in creating a style guide for the Intranet site. ~ Maintain content; edit content for grammar and spelling as necessary.~ Properly code content for placement, verifying relevant links.~ Provide guidance on selection, use and placement of photos, illustrations, maps and other images.~ Other duties, as assignedREQUIREMENTS~ At least 5-10 years experience with Content Management Systems.~ Editorial experience and experience in guiding the work of other content producers.~ Hands-on experience in content management projects, including document management, web content management and knowledge management.~ Excellent writing skills, communication skills, and the ability to bridge gaps between technology and business.~ Outstanding problem solving skills.~ Strong balance between editorial and technical knowledge.~ Cursory knowledge of HTML. ~ Professional familiarity with at least one content management solution.~ Excellent project management skills with great attention to detail and deadlines.~ Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.~ Team player, entrepreneurial, resourceful and self-motivated.~ Business consulting experience a plus.~ Bachelor's degree required.
