May perform one or more of the following:

Directs and manages the activities of the technical writing staff.

Manages employees who operate desktop publishing equipment and utilize software packages to complete varied and complex assignments involving word processing, page layouts and the creation of charts and computer graphics.

Oversees the preparation of technical illustrations, design procedures, graphics, photography, and other printing.

Ensures design images meet corporate guidelines and marketing brand strategies.

Meets with internal and external customers to evaluate the effectiveness of publications department services and determine future needs.

Investigates and recommends implementation of new technology to meet changing needs.

All other duties as assigned.
