Description
Our Southern Maine client is currently seeking a .NET Application Architect to be responsible for providing technical leadership within the project teams. This includes evaluating the technology requirements of clients, recommending a flexible technology solution that will meet the clients' current and future needs, as well as leading project architecture and design activities. Some responsibilities will include: •Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle•Architect and design solutions that will meet client requirements•Work with the business analysts to develop an understanding of the impacts of the new system on the current workflow and business practices and design and document the new/changed workflow and business practices•Work closely with designers and programmer/analysts to ensure the system is constructed according to the architecture•Complete design specifications for large, complex systems•Act as primary liaison with client technical staff and effectively communicate the solution architecture and technical issues to the client •Develop Technical Standards and Processes

Experience/Skills
Experience/Education Required: •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Commerce•Proven senior technical leadership experience •Sound experience using structured software development methodologies, , ideally within the context of the IBM Rational Unified Process (RUP) •Demonstrated ability in Object Oriented Analysis and Design using UML •Experience in performing business domain architecture, software architecture, project release planning, risk management, test management and quality assurance•Demonstrated experience in performing multiple roles throughout the software development lifecycle.•Above average experience in multi-tier application development, including web applications and legacy integration•10+ years software development, design, and implementation experience•Experience in the development, build and deployment of enterprise class systems•RDBMS expertise (esp. Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle);•Experience implementing web services solution (e.g. WSDL, SOAP;•Demonstrated ability in requirements capture and management methods, tools, and techniques (esp. use cases)•Experience developing in C#, ASP, Microsoft.NET, SQL Server, Oracle.•Enterprise integration experience with Microsoft Biz Talk, IBM WebSphere or equivalent.
