Description
Define requirements, analyze, design, enhance, and develop software systems to efficiently and effectively fulfill corporate initiatives and planning/development objectives.

Maintain technical skill set across a broad range of software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks.
Respond to system failure and performance events, taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of the problem.
Respond to system usage questions and conduct training classes to empower system users with the knowledge to maximize their use of developed systems.
Develop and present I/S and User management comprehensive presentations of proposed systems.
Assist in development and mentoring of the department’s programming staff to ensure that I/S Standards and Procedures and development methodology are followed and that resource potential is realized.
Complete the necessary training to perform job responsibilities. Code and maintain applications from pre-defined specifications.
Provide support for existing user applications.
Qualifications · A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required. · Minimum of 1 - 3 years of programming experience in .Net or C++ · Experience working on a AIX or UNIX platform. Also includes experience in Windows Batch Commands, Windows Scripting Host (WSH), VBScript and Korn Shell Script (KSH) is preferred. · Experience working with Sybase, DB2 or other relational database management systems is preferred. · Knowledge of Component Object Model (COM), XML and XML Document Objective Model (DOM) is a plus. · Must have good analytical and coding skills. · Excellent communication skill in technical and non-technical forums is vital to this position. · The candidate must have an acceptable score on the CPAB (Computer Programmer Aptitude Battery) test.
