.NET Programmer/Analyst position available with a stable 81 year old company committed to planned, managed growth.

The .NET Programmer/Analyst position works within the Information Technology Department reporting to the Director of Systems Development and works closely with other development / I.T. team members.

The primary responsibility for this position is to advance client's Web based application development environment to the next level. The candidate must also provide recommendations for a solid Web based standards infrastructure. The position will be located in our client's Barrington, IL office.

Besides strong development and analytical skills, candidate must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. Other responsibilities include process, programming and user requirements documentation. The candidate will work on assigned tasks based on priorities and project schedules.

This position requires an innovative, energetic, self-motivated and disciplined individual that has the passion to use technology to help meet company goals and objectives. This is a salaried position, typically working normal business hours, but periodically requires some off-hours work.

Requirements:
• Bachelors degree, preferably related to Information Technology
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification for Microsoft .NET desired
• Minimum 5 years of business experience developing ASP.NET applications - including VB.NET
• Extensive experience using MS Visual Studio 2005 - knowledge of MS VS 2008 a plus
• Experience using Crystal Reports and/or MS Reporting Services required
• MS SQL Server 2000 (2005 preferred): ability to create/update/debug SQL Stored Procedures & SSIS Packages required
• Thorough knowledge of JavaScript
• Extensive experience with the .NET 2.0 Framework - knowledge of .NET 3.x Framework a plus including: Windows Presentation Foundation; Windows Workflow Foundation; Windows Communication Foundation
• Understanding of messaging technologies including SOAP, AJAX, Web Services
• Strong object-oriented development experience
• Strong WinForm and third-party grid experience
