Position Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a senior level position accountable for developing systems that meet the objectives of new or modified products being developed by the organization.
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
Resolves a wide range of issues in creative and practical ways.
Recognized as a resource and a technical subject matter expert among management and peers.
*Helps set coding and design standards.
*Has a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices for integrating and leveraging third-party solutions.
Participates in and sometimes leads technical design and code reviews.
This job typically will play a lead role on projects that are of moderate to high complexity.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for providing solutions.
Anticipates, identifies, and articulates problem areas and develops proactive solutions.
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
Trains, guides, and mentors other developers.

Qualifications:
Typically requires a Computer Science/related technical degree
5 to 8 years professional working experience, including 2-3 years of demonstrated proficiency in job related core skills (ex: Web Development, distributed systems, etc.)
MCSD and other industry standard certification is a plus.
Domain expertise in HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS.
Domain expertise in two or more of the following: ASP, VBScript, ASP.NET and XML/XSLT.
Working knowledge of OOP, Web Services, SQL and T-SQL concepts, UML, relevant technical documentation SOAP.
Fully understands/test performance and load impacts that different approaches will have on a web application.
Strong knowledge of computer science concepts, data structures, algorithms and architecture.
Proficient in two or more of the following languages: C#, C++, Perl, VB.Net.
Proficient in one or more of the following data access methods: SQL, ADO/ADO.NET, ODBC and OLEDB
Understanding of XML/XSLT, Web Services, and SOAP.
Experienced working knowledge of distributed, Internet-based computing architectures and technologies addressing scalability, reliability, and redundancy (Message Queues, Transactions, Error Management, Caching, Load Balancing, etc.)
Mastering of OOP principles and techniques.
Experienced working knowledge of relevant system platforms such as Windows Servers, Unix/Solaris, IIS.
Strong working knowledge of UML, Visio, and other Technical Documentation tools and methodologies.

Experience with working with high volume, high demand public facing websites, web companies is highly desired.df-tc
