EDI Analyst:

Job Description:

Primarily responsible for the coordination and support of electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities of company. Specific duties may include:
- Work with internal and external clients on EDI claim and encounter files along with their associated business requirements;
- Coordinate testing, perform error analysis, perform acceptance of files and communicate with all participants;
- Document and maintain business guidelines for EDI claims/encounters for assigned health plans;
- Coordinate any necessary updates with appropriate clearinghouse(s) in support of health plan-s/state-s requirements;
- Coordinate with state representatives regarding business errors relative to encounter submissions;
- Set-up trading partners on ePortal, facilitate exchange of trading partner documentation and communicate with various parties in conjunction with HIPAA PMO;
- Troubleshoot EDI claim/encounter issues;
- Monitor EDI activity to ensure all transactions are working properly.
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA Transaction Code sets.

Requirements:

- Understanding of HIPAA Transaction structure
- Experience in Healthcare EDI systems
- Business understanding of the Claims/Encounter systems
- Familiarity with SQL Query Language
- Excellent communication and customer skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Must have worked in Healthcare related field.
