EDS Product Data - Technology Lead/Architect

The Tech Lead/architect's role is to design & implement end-to-end solutions in the product reference data space.

The role would entail leading efforts to design, execute, and deliver components and/or solutions while adhering to strict project deadlines. The lead/architect must possess the ability to deliver business and technical solutions in a fast paced environment. Additionally, the developer must demonstrate strong communication skills and a "team player" attitude.

Responsibilities include:

?Translate business requirements into high & low-level design documents that can then be implemented by the development team

?Partner with other members of the development team to ensure smooth integration of the components with other Back End technologies. Publish & encourage use of best practices

?Participate in unit testing and integration testing involving the UI.

?Understand product & pricing data concepts, processes and data models beyond the scope of current assignments and continue to progress strategy for the platforms towards the groups' vision and stated goals

?Provide documentation and cross training to other team members regarding component implementation

Skills:

At least 7-10 years of experience implementing medium to large scale reference data projects

Proven record in systems architecture using a variety of technologies: Java Platform, J2EE, EJB, Databases (Oracle), SOA (Tibco BusinessWorks), Messaging Middleware, Application Servers (Websphere), Presentation Layer technologies (JSF, Spring), ETL (Informatica), Workflow (Tibco), Business Rule Engines (QuickRules, JRules) and Software Methodologies.

Experience with Oracle RDBMS technology and persistence technologies like Hibernate is necessary.

Self-motivated with demonstrable communication (verbal & written) skills and knowledge of best practices related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems is essential.

Possess strong Technological, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills. Ability to work on occasional independent projects is necessary

Proven Leadership and Technical skills and ability to lead teams in a result-driven environment.

Must have recent experience with financial industry applications, especially in the product reference data management (equities, fixed income, derivatives) space.
