Electrical 2D- 3D CAD Designer

Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the U.S. government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.

Projects
Parsons is supporting the design, construction, and operations of a pilot plant that will use advanced technology to neutralize a significant portion of the U.S. government's chemical agent stockpile. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to a safer world for future generations.

Need
We are seeking an electrical designer with Intergraph PDS Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience. The successful candidate will be able to create 3D electrical models and extract 2D drawings from the 3D models. You will prepare electrical drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, and assemblies, etc. from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information. This position entails working in a collaborative environment with a multi-discipline design team.

Requirements

6+ years of relevant electrical CAD experience
Proven abilities to produce deliverables using Intergraph PDS software
Track record of success in compiling data and performing dimensional and routine calculations to prepare drawings
Associate degree or certification from accredited designer/drafter course preferred
U.S. citizen documentation and ability to pass security clearance requirements a must
