Supervising Engineer – Software Integration
Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the U.S. government. Project
Parsons project team, based in Arlington, VA, provides systems engineering support to Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) for the development, acquisition and deployment support of advanced nuclear threat detection systems. This includes the Advanced Spectroscopic Portal (ASP) program systems and the Cargo Advanced Automated Radiography System (CAARS). Together, these systems will be used to inspect cargo conveyances entering the United States while not adversely affecting the flow of commerce. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to the security of the United States and safety of future generations.

Need
Parsons is seeking a Supervising Engineer to oversee the software integration of one of more contractors for human portable radiation detection systems. The successful candidate will be working with and/or manage a small multi-disciplined team. You will review specifications, test data, and inspect prototypes to ensure that the quality of the software is acceptable to detect radioactivity and that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed. Some travel is required.

Requirements
? 12+ years of experience in quality assurance and software integration processes preferably with military and/or nuclear detection equipment.
? Experience working with the Department of Defense, Energy, or Homeland Security System Development Program office is desired
? Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
? Professional engineer registration is preferred.
? Proof of U.S. citizenship is required
