Engineering Manager II for a Global Tissue Company

Summary:
The role of this position includes capital engineering as well as support for Explore process/asset technology development and Life Cycle Maximization support. Also directs the engineering activities of the assigned function or department within the organization.

Scope:
  • Provides leadership to a Engineering team.
  • Provides input on a broad range of issues in setting technical aspects of business unit plans and objectives.
  • Facilitates employee development and innovation to identify, develop, and evaluate new product, process or material concepts. A major challenge of this position is to ensure that Engineering priorities, programs and resources meet current and anticipated future business needs.
  • Provides protection to technologies and products through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.

    Responsibilities:
  • Develops and conducts work programs in accordance with company's policies,
    priorities and budget constraints.
  • Provides technical oversight, manages, coordinates, and develops budgets for assigned function or department including operating requirements and equipment and material purchases.
  • Provides guidance to subordinates & recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures.
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, and acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering or related discipline
  • 10-18 years industrial experience or another equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated evidence of a solid background of technical knowledge and experience combined with demonstrated ability to lead and direct a Engineering team and projects to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members for career development and performance improvement must have been shown.

    Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • All levels of management within Product and Technology Development or Growth Management and Technical Personnel, Marketing, Legal, Market Research, External Consultants and Research Organizations, Vendors direct and through Sourcing and Supply Management, Finance, and Product Supplydf-tc
