QUALIFICATIONS

2 + years ETL development experience
2+ years Data warehouse/Data Mart design experience
4 + years technology experience.
Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience
Must contribute to overall team success; committed to building a strong team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong analytical aptitude required
Experience contributing to project task prioritization, planning, estimating, work assignment, & quality assurance at every stage of a project.
Experience with technical proof of concept initiatives strongly preferred
Experience with error handling, scheduling, & batch processing.
Experience with media, entertainment, or internet business models a plus.
Ability to manage multiple, conflicting, high priority requests.
Ability to work accurately and effectively on extremely tight deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
Experience with end-to-end implementation, and maintenance of a multi-Terabyte DW environment in a Fortune 1000 corporation strongly desired


SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

Thorough knowledge of SQL.
VLDB experience with multiple relational databases such as Netezza, Teradata, Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server.
Experience with SQL Server and stored procedures.
Experience with Perl and XML
Experience with and knowledge of multiple Data Warehouse/Data Mart architectures.
Thorough knowledge of ETL process architecture, design and implementation
Experience with ETL development using Ascential/IBM DataStage
Experience with performance and scalability design and testing
Experience with relational and dimensional DB design and development.
Near-real-time Data Warehousing experience and experience with micro-batch loads strongly desirable
Customer-centric Data Warehouse experience highly desirable
DBA and operational experience a plus
Functional knowledge of OLTP and OLAP architectures, methods and processes as they relate to Data Warehouse input/output design and interface contracts
Basic familiarity with analytical tools such as: MicroStrategy
