ETL Developer

Responsibilities:

• Provides high level understanding of technologies, procedures, and concepts within the specialized area.
• Develope new products and support applications already in production.
• Adheres to pre-defined programming standards set by Application Architects and develope recommendations regarding further definition of development standards and application architecture principles.
• Creates documentation using established PMO standards.
• Translates high-level requirements into detailed technical designs.
• Leads and facilitates design sessions and code walk-throughs
• Read and create UML diagrams
• Performs unit testing and assists in user testing of programming modifications.
• Provides technical estimates.
• Develops recommendations regarding further definition of development standards and application architecture principles.
• When assigned, addresses system problems during off hours with the guidance from other members of the development staff as needed.
• Attends staff and departmental meetings and provides status updates to management.
• Develops and maintains effective partnerships with Scottrade product development and business teams in order to understand and anticipate their needs, the business environment, other challenges and opportunities.
• Maintains technical knowledge through training or other measures.

Experience:

• 5+ years of proven success as an ETL developer with strong knowledge of relational database concepts, including interacting with databases from client applications using stored procedures.
• 5+ years technical experience with ETL tools such as DTS, SSIS. (SSIS is Required).
• 5 Years experience with using source control systems such as VSS, CVS or TFS.
