Description
Our client, a major brokerage firm is looking for a ETL Developer that will be responsible for managing all data loads from multi-variate systems to the Database. Successful applicant will gather information and requirements from the Users, contact the providers of data and will be implementing ETL procedures to bring this data into the database. The sources of information could be Sybase, Oracle, sqlserver, flat files, spreadsheet. The ETL tool used is Informatica and all load jobs are scheduled via Autosys using shell scripts. The candidate will also interact with Monitoring group to ensure that all jobs are running efficiently and within scheduled time limits. In addition, the candidate will make proposals to enhance existing jobs as well convert jobs running in Microsoft DTS to Informatica.

Experience/Skills
1. 2-3 yrs experience using ETL tools i.e, DTS, Informatica, Cognos etc.
2. 2-3 yrs experience in Automation processes i.e Autosys, job schedulers, cron etc.
3. 5-6 yrs experience with Oracle (Sybase or sqlserver will be considered) with focus on procedural languages like PLSQL, strong sql knowledge and some understanding of data administration.
4. 4-5 yrs experience with Solaris (or HPUX) with emphasis on shell scripting, PERL.
5. Emphasis on supporting production applications in real time.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
