Description
  • Provides leadership in Informatica technologies, coaches and mentors team members.
  • Supports installation and configuration of Informatica powercenter, connectors, power exchange and other components using best practices.
  • Implement current architecture of ETL solution using Informatica tool set – for data movement from oltp systems to Operation Data Store and Teradata DW.
  • Assist ETL developers with issues when migrating Legacy data to SAP R/3 using iDOC/BAPI interfaces.
  • Facilitate ETL of SAP BW to Teradata DW and Legacy systems and assist with issues.
  • Guide ETL developers with difficult data movement issues.
  • Develops and defines Legacy data extraction strategy and rules, which meets the business requirements.
  • Helps with development of rules for data mapping, cleansing and consolidation using the Informatica tool.
  • Assists with Development of transformations and rules and enable them as Web-Services.
  • Deploys mappings and workflows to various environments using standard procedures and guidelines. Help with refining standards and guidelines as we move forward.
  • Administers and develops monitoring scripts for power center server processes and workflow jobs.
  • Builds skills in how to leverage the Informatica tool to build a repeatable Legacy data migration process.
  • Manages near Real Time data movement using Informatica Power Exchange for DB2 on z/OS to multiple targets (db2 on AIX and Teradata)
  • Helps with Capacity planning as more and more systems use Informatica as an Integration tool.
  • Performance tuning: possesses knowledge of complete application development life cycle and is able to identify and fix performance issues in multiple database environments.
  • Responsible for automating standard tasks.
    Quickly learns new technologies to support enterprise initiatives.
  • Possesses basic DBA skills
  • Excellent communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:

  • B.S. degree
  • 3 or more years experience as Informatica administrator in multi-database environment.
  • Experience in implementing, and managing large scale data movement from heterogeneous source and target RDBMS platforms.
  • Experience in at least two or more of the following areas is a must: Data movement to teradata from different sources (db2, oracle, SQL server); Informatica SAP iDoc connector; Informatica web-services connector ( provider/consumer); Informatica power exchange CDC for DB2 on z/os; Power center administration/automation/Scripting/maintenance
    Candidate must possess skills in performance tuning, monitoring of Informatica mappings/session/workflows.
  • Candidate is expected to be experienced in Informatica problem identification, problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Knowledge of AIX platform, Shell Scripting to automate Informatica tasks.
  • Plus to have experience in Informatica high availability technologies
  • Candidate has excellent communication – ability to explain a technical problem to management.
  • Candidate is a team player. Shares knowledge. Coaches team members.
  • Able to work in high performing teams and deliver under pressure situations.
