Currently, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the Process Support – Nonwovens mill located in LaGrange, Georgia.

Position Summary:

Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize, and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations. The Electrical Engineer for this role will provide guidance in design, development, optimization and problem solving of manufacturing/electrical issues related to the mill. Candidates must have expertise across multiple technologies and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a broad range of team members. The incumbent reports to an engineering team leader and receives direction in the form of specific project objectives.

Responsibilities:

1) Lead product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $5 million from conception through commercialization.
2) Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of nonwoven manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.
3) Develop knowledge and skills in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.
4) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes,
policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
5) Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.
6) Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause.

Basic Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2) A minimum of 5 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer.
3) Experience with manufacturing control systems, such as: Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, sensors, automated inspection systems, vision inspection systems, etc.
4) Experience with Allen Bradley or similar programmable logic controller equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Strong knowledge and background in Electrical Engineering including technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects.
2) Experience working with external technical service suppliers.

Other Qualifications:

1) A demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
