Opportunity
The Electrical Engineer Manager for the Boston, Mass. Office of Parsons will be responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering and design for the Life Science Division. The position requires a thorough knowledge of electrical engineering and design practices including budgeting, scheduling, planning, working drawings, specifications, codes, building materials and costs, and construction techniques.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
For the Life Science Division, manages all Electrical Engineering and Design efforts. This includes both technical and administrative functions. Included is the development of electrical budget estimates, schedules and staffing assignments.Maintains appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, as needed.

Monitors the quality and progress of the electrical discipline on each project and ensures that production requirements are satisfied.Works closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.

Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees.Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels employees, takes corrective actions (as required), and approves terminations.

Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required.Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Program.

Directly reports to the Business Unit’s “Manager of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering”.

Experience/Skills
Requirements

The candidate should have a BSEE and 15-20 years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience. Life Science experience is required. Professional Engineer (PE) Registration by exam is required.
