Description
Looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing Environment, must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and seven or more years of proven record in a medium sized ($50 million Sales) manufacturing facility. Equipment used in this facility would include 300 horsepower and above motors, large rubber mixing equipment, steam and hydraulic press control systems. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Maintaining electrical and control systems of all production equipment and process in a highly active 24/7 manufacturing environment. Provide hands-on assistance and troubleshooting whenever equipment is down to get it back up and running as soon as possible. Design and upgrade existing and new electrical and control systems to improve reliabilities, operating cost, and quality when needed (PLCs, AC inverters, DC drive controllers, process controllers, etc.) Manage various assigned capital improvement projects to meet company goals Hands-on involvement with all new equipment and system installation throughout Directing & coordinating plant OSHA & EPA compliance efforts Supervise a small crew of electricians, mechanics, and others as assigned Work closely with Director of Engineering and Production Team to provide smooth and effective maintenance support Qualifications shall also include: Proficiency in PLC and AC/DC drive controls programming Expert troubleshooter on electrical and electronic components as well as diagnose and solve AC/DC motor control and related issues for large manufacturing equipment Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting all phases of plant electrical system Good understanding of Power distributions and controls designs Automation design and debugging experience OHSA and EPA regulations compliance experience A team builder and a good communicator Rubber industry or heavy manufacturing industry experience is a plus Direct report to Director of Engineering.df-tc
