Electronic Connectivity Specialist

ROLE:

Join a dynamic, high-growth team! Enhance the functionality of interface applications that communicate with stock exchanges and customer trading order management systems for the Equities Connectivity team. Install, administer and support FIX connectivity and applications.

• Provide ongoing support of business and technology connectivity requirements
• Install/implement exchange and customer connectivity in production.
• Monitor application and system performance
• Help identify methods to improve performance and resiliency
• Troubleshoot connectivity problems in production

This is a high-impact, client-facing environment where you will see your work implemented across multiple businesses and regions. Your clients will include high-profile external clients as well as senior trading and operations heads. The applications are globally deployed ( Americas , Europe, and Asia ).

REQUIRED:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• UNIX/Linux background
• Script/perl programming desirable
• VI or EMACS editor skills
• Experience in database, Sybase preferable
• Good project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong time management skills/ability to multi-task
• Capable of interacting with both technical and business colleagues
• Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision & work independently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks

PREFERRED:

• Experience in multi threaded application desirable
• Experience in network programming desirable
• Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
• Knowledge of finance and/or experience within the financial services industry
• Experience in database, Sybase preferable.
• Capable of project-managing multi-developer projects
