Description
For this contract position, you will be taking ownership of testing various Windows Embedded features and components.

Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding the existing test-cases, exercising, and changing as needed
  • Working with WTT to run the tests
  • Working with test PCs locally and within general pool to run test-cases and services for the tests
  • Ensuring that related components belonging to owned feature set are used and covered by tests
  • Educating other team members on these features both verbally and by creating or modifying documentation
  • Creating and maintaining scripting specifically for testing feature sets owned
  • Understanding tests and processes related to servicing (updates, QFEs, etc.) owned features and components
  • Customer repros of problems reported

Experience/Skills
  • 4+ years development and test experience, preferably using Industry Embedded products
  • Strong coding skill C#, C++, and C in Windows componentization form
  • WTT (Windows Test Technologies) framework background and skills
  • Visual Studio coding and debugging skills
  • Networking technologies (IP, IIS, NAP, RAS, etc) experience
  • SQL Server and Sybase, Oracle and/or Informix experience
  • Ability to debug Software and Hardware issues and maintenance-related issues
  • Ability to create test automation tools and static analysis tools
  • Ability to lead and proactive about software engineering practice and process (must understand SDLC process)
  • Experience with smoke testing
  • Ability to build, deploy and test Windows images, including testing daily builds
  • Ability to install Third Party drivers and applications to test the end-to-end user experience
  • Strong scripting skills to facilitate automation of test cases and improvement of testing processes and tools
  • Experience with Visual Basic, MFC, OLE, Internet tools, XPE, Vista, Visual Studio, Product Studio, and/or compiler preprocessor preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required, some business/functional knowledge preferred
  • Multilingual test skill a plus
