POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to customer requirements, and assess the feasibility of solutions. Support the full spectrum of product development (concept, design, implementation, test, production). Develop custom Embedded software to integrate and control various commercial and custom electronic modules.

Required Skills/Education:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (2 years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education). 4+ years of experience in software development for Embedded control and/or communications systems. Must have expertise in developing applications for Embedded microcontrollers (eg, ARM, 8051, AVR. Must have experience in implementing protocols (eg, Ethernet, RS-232, USB) for standard interfaces. Must have excellent programming skills in C, with ability to work in C++ and assembly. Must have familiarity with hardware control and management, including interrupts, timers, interfaces, and memory and an understanding of performance tradeoffs. Must have experience using Windows or Linux cross-compilers, debuggers, source control tools, and code profiling tools. Should have prior experience developing for Windows Mobile or Linux Embedded platforms. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Top Secret security clearance.

Travel:
Occasional travel (1-2 weeks in duration) to assist in conducting hands-on equipment testing and field evaluations may be required.df-tc
